Having grown up at Post Oak Baptist Church, Alex answered the call from God to serve as Minister of Music as a senior in college. Alex heard God speaking while on a mission trip to New Orleans, saying I want you to be on mission with Me and serve your home church. In Januray of 2009, Post Oak called Alex to serve as Minister of Music.

He received his bachlor's degree in Business Management with a minor in Marketing from Western Kentucky University in May of 2009.
